Black wheels on a white C63?

Any thoughts on black wheels on a white C63?

I have seen a couple and like the look, makes a real contrast against the white car and other black bits. Just not sure if it is a bit bling for a man in his early 40's??

The other things is I am guessing I could have the 19" silver AMG alloys that are on it powder coated, seems like a WAY cheaper option than buying a new set.

Seen a few in the West End - look quite good with the carbon bits as well.

My only concern is that white might be a bit of a fashion colour...

From a fellow "early 40s male" I think the white on black looks great! Its what i would get. Know somebody who has just ordered an E63 with same colour scheme.

Go for it never worry what other people think... it is your pride and joy not there's! Black on white looks awesome and as commented here works brilliantly with any carbon fibre pieces aswell ;-)

Not really worried about what other think, just dont want to spend money on getting something done that looks crap and that I will regret. It was my intention to do this to the wheels when I bought it, just losing my nerve a bit!!

It will look great, its what I ordered for my C63 in white too.

Where did you get the 19" alloys from?

It has 19" AMG alloys already on it. I am thinking about having them powder coated but not sure if that actually works or if it will kill the alloys?

I have the 19 black wheels on my white c63. I think it suits the car. I wouldn't want silver wheels on the car. I have the black lip on the boot too, just think the grill needs painting black to finish it off.

I think anthracite looks nice, black always makes the tyres look really brown and dirty.

This is the DR520 with Anthracite wheels...

I think the black 19" wheels look too small, particularly on a white C63. However, that maybe an optical illusion due to Mercedes leaving the little bit of polished rim. If it were all black it may look better.

So does anyone have a view on turning my current alloys using powder coating or similar? A new set of AMG black alloys is a scary price, just don't know anything about powder coating.

I have the black wheels (with the diamond cut edge). I hate the edge and am thinking of powder coating the wheels in black (again) just to get rid of the silver edge (just like to photo above, love the all black effect).

Has anyone else done this?

Even on the mightly black the rims look to "bling" for me.

I had the OEM black 19' rims on my C63. Looked great in my opinion as I had also blacked out some of the trim such as front grill, roof and rear badges..

On that one I bought some matt black vinyl.

The badges I did in Plasti Dip and on the C Class I have now, have used the same on the grill.

To be honest, if I was to do it again, I would use Plasti Dip...
