What you chaps think?

Ok, piccies and videos can be freely viewed/downloaded but the forum remains sign-up entry only - to keep the casual browser away...

Also will be banging up every little config setting, torque setting etc etc for the engine itself, I know TVR have a hard time giving this information out, so I'll just bang it up there when its all accumulated and ready for freeloading...

www.projectphoenix.xt7.net

I've got like 4 DV tapes to convert and get on there, so you all can watch exactly how the engine comes out and how everything is taken off, and then the engine strip down video.... I'll use VP6+AAC compression codecs for the movies so that they're nice and small and streamable too...

All the 3D design models will go up too, but they will only be available to certified select members as they're all classified prototype designs...

The sprit of fire...lol nearly as bad as orgasmic driving or whatever tat TVR are coming out with

Anyway on a more serious note, yes good, a little much flash if you ask me it does not need it as the content is interesting!

Keep at it.

F**k that too. I don't register anywhere that requires me to do so in order to view.

I guess it's kind of like the Groucho Marx quote: "I don’t want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member"

sites looking good ...

like the background track to the intro (not usually my bag baby)

takes a little too long to spin thru the spec though!

Ive no problems with signing up to see what you are up too - only sorry I cant add much to the debate - bodywork is more my thing..

How much of your work would be downgradable to other cerb owners? - Im quite concerned over the long term parts issues etc so upgrading away from trouble would be good!!

My only concern with your project is that you are going to get enough use from the little monster! - many of your previous posts raved over standard (fast)road driving ... your engineering this to the bottom of the list??!!

Keep up the good work ... Im fairly local I think so hopoefully can meetup at the end of phase 1 or 2

Thats true, but a lot of dosh is being thrown in to have a car that is marginally acceptible and comfortable on the roads as well as a shock and awe all out drag runner... one of the most expensive things in this whole project is going to be the rolling road Motec tuning (done by an external Motec guy) - I want full 512 point tuning across 4 different maps through the whole rev-range.... once Motec have got it running sweet with all 16 injectors firing at the right time through the rev range... then after that I'll have the best maps money can buy already custom set up, and I can just build on top of them when I play around with the in-car system (no need for laptop, custom computer dash with touchscreen), plus dont forget - theres about 2 dozen extra sensors now! even a breakoutbox to attach more sensors to the Motec unit! I believe in safety and reliability - everything from stress to heat to pressure - everywhere - will be monitored - and this Motec fella has to get all of these readings set up and work in harmony...

The name....
We came up with Phoenix, firstly its another mythical creature from greek mythology and also represents rebirth... whence project phoenix, but then also the phoenix is basically a bird of fire... so i took the old slogan 'the spirit of driving' and meshed it together to create 'the spirit of fire'.... (i'll make sure I spit flames as far as you can see - maybe even enough to cook a steak! )
Hmm, yeah I get carried away with intros - but I will be changing the main intro.... (by the way, all the high level specs are in the forum, you dont have to wait for the intro to cycle through them... hehe)
