Spain or bust 2013
Discussion
Hi all,
Was planning to run a thread of my progress through France and down into Spain.
However, I keep forgetting to take photo's so on day 6 this is my first post.
Just to step back to last weekend, we had a nice choice of cars tp choose from with may Wifes 45mpg Evoque or my 40mpg CLS or the Tuscan. Of course we chose the Tuscan and to satisfy any comfort questions, I had the aircon recharged last Saturday.
Wont bore with the first few days other than to say the aircon packed up on the Monday
Skip forward to last Tuesday in the Montelimar Autoroute Services.
We pulled up in a sheltered spot next to a broken down Ford,

When the brakedown truck arrived, we then spotted the broken down Peugeot in the background,

Now, at this stage we're feeling a little smug but at the same time sympathetic for the families with the problems.
So when the second breakdown truck arrived, already loaded with a Porsche, well, we had to realy show some control. I felt very sorry for the French chap when I pointed out to him that his hazard lights were still on.
Eventually, the third truck arrived and removed the Ford, allowing us to start that sweet Speed6 and head on our way.

So fast forward to Friday night and the Marriot Golf Resort on Denia.
We were greeted by a very friendly young guy who directed us to reverse into a coned off area.
When I asked if this was just for check in, he said, " No sir, this is for special cars, we dont want it risk any damage with the normal cars".
(I gave him €5,- tip and a lot of thanks).
