That would have been better, lol.

I was a silly boy about 15 years ago a got banned for D/D and required to
pass a medical to get licence back. So I bought the car and stuck it outside my front door to encourage me to stop drinking. It did'nt work, so stored the car for years.

Then about 5 years ago I passed the medical and shortly after lost my job.

When I bought Austin at the end of August 2011, he had just 65,156 miles on the clock. Now showing 76,387.
I really must get out more driving

Edited to correct date of purchase.
2012? What was I thinking?

When I got my S1 MOTd a few weeks ago, the tester said according to his computer the car has only done 1500 miles in the last 11 years!..........I have done almost that in three weeks!

It will be when the finished article is unveiled!
Alan's S is going to be more than worthy of a multi-page spread in Sprint.
Are you paying attention Andy?
Plenty of mileage in this story!

Alan, have you thought about a special ceremony on the day of the first official public demonstration run?

The heady heights of mega miles mine can only dream of, still on just 49200 miles. But this is about to change booking a few runs out that will add hundreds if not a thousand over a week or so. Wales Shelsley and Warwick Car show is good for 500 miles over 2 days, whoops must updat my limited mileage insurance...!

Hmmmm, just looked at the new MOT (last week!), says 94101 miles. However as the last one said 93475 I am now feeling very ashamed. As my school reports used to say: MUST do better next year! Whatever the weather does I will be out in her tomorrow.

Not an S, but I once had an '87 F reg 1.0 Nissan Micra that had done 258,000 miles, still on the original engine and it ran perfectly.
Just regularly serviced, just shows that high miles aren't a problem if properly looked after.
( The first owner was a driving instructor. It had had a replacement gearbox & numerous clutches though, as well as replacement front seats! )

The message is, look after it properly, but USE YOUR S! driving
