Phonesafe... grr...

Cost of calls aside, does it actually bloody work?!?

Tried phoning about 3 different cars, and all of them have a Phonesafe number.

The system appears to be so bloody safe that it rings once and then just goes dead - on all 3.

I've even tried from two landlines, a mobile and a VOIP phone

I think it might be flawed - I've not had a single call about my car and I'm naturally blaming Phonesafe

I phoned my own phonesafe number when my bike was advertised and it went through to someone selling something else . You could always put your mobile no. in the advert text.

Buy a cheap sim and post that number?

phonesafe is a money making scam...dont use it

they use the marketing scare to get you to take the service for free

its the unsuspecting punter that loses out when they get a huge mobile phone bill

or for those in the know, they just dont get in touch

When i was last buying i wouldn't call the phonesafe number, id email instead

As I posted in the other thread. Phonesafe is an option that is chosen by the sellers of vehicles, it's not a money making scam, surely if it was, we would make it mandatory?

Easy for you to say if you know that number is premium rate

This thread was about the fact the Phonesafe number went dead - it did not ring.

I was perfectly well aware of the costs involved in calling the number.

By all means have your crusade, but it's not relevant here.
