Solid engine mound make the car exceptionally hard so amazed you recomend them for a road car, graham and his missus have to wear ear defenders on long trips!!

You can get upgraded mounts can remember the colour, but they are coded. I have upgrade ones in all 4 corners and they are not noticeably harsher.... Pretty easy to replace, just unbolt them so they are just sitting on the mounts and lift the engine and replace.

Unless its a full on race car do NOT go solid mounts , the vibration through the car is horrendous !!! White front and back std side to side is normally and good step forward or white all round as Andy has done .

The race car had solid mounts, the noise and vibration was herrendous, from memory on the road car I used Blue on top and Orange for the bottom.

I'm the other way round from what Adrian has, the transmission/engine noise I get is quite loud, ear plugs required for long journeys. It does make the car stiffer though, think I might go to the hardest all round over winter but never going for solid mounts. There are bigger improvements to be made elsewhere

Mine are fast road ones, yes there are 4 and yes I have done the job as I mentioned above you will need to raise the engine but its not exactly hard... One low down by the fuel tank is hard to get to.

Can you replace them using a jack or do you need an engine hoist?

Interesting to hear opinions as yep ride is a bit stiffer than cars with rubber mounts that ive driven but never xperianced any vibrations maybe the cross bracing on my roll cage takes the flex out
