Does that belong to anybody on here? Just sold mine but if that gets undersold then I am tempted to jump back in. I'm guessing the colour is an issue? Though I don't mind it, I think it looks great.
Why would the colour be an issue? Is it not red but bad pictures in the sunlight??

Well I am now the highest bidder. Way below the sort of money I've been talking about spending, but if I get it I suppose it's a way of dipping a toe in the water to see if I enjoy the experience. Bloody long way from Norfolk though!
Good Luck!
What do you think you will get it for?

So, speedo change when reading 80k and now reads 45k. So the ,mileage is actually 81k - or am I missing something?
The seller quoting the mileage as 45k is the only thing that makes me worry about the integrity of everything else that has been written, but everything else seems pretty honest.I've read the ad a couple of times but can't see that it states the engine size, but I'm guessing it's a 400
As a '93 car it'll also have the LT77 gearbox rather than the later T5, which IIRC was introduced in '94. It does also say that the gearbox has been reconditioned.
The 400 is no different (IMO) than any other Chimaera as they're all great cars, but if you're a power junkie and/or don't like being left behind by diesel estates then have a serious think....
Just my opinion

Totally hear what you're saying Chilli, but it's pocket money compared to the other stuff I've been looking at. I am sure I can move it on if I get it and don't like it. The power (or lack of) does concern me and if I don't get it, I won't lose any sleep and will go back to plan A. It was just one of those impulsive late night ebay punts!

Response regarding the mileage:
Yes the mileage is 81K but at 80K the outriggers were replaced, The gearbox was refurbished, the radiator was replaced along with all water pipework to stainless steel and new flexi blue pipes. The battery was changed, The interior carpets were totally changed along with complete new interior leatherwork.
The clutch was renewed with new slave cylinder. All new front suspension and the chassis was rubbed down and waxoyled. The windscreen was replaced and the rear hood plastic window was also replaced .The engine was subjected to a full service and all oil changed along wiyh new spark plugs and distributor and alternator.
All shock absorbers were replaced with Gaz Coil overs and all electrical relays changed and all loom wiring replaced.
The car was MOT`d on 22nd July with no advisories and so in reality all major mechanicals and interior are actually brand new so 41 k is in reality a more realistic interpretation of the cars fitness.
If you spent a £1000 spraying the front stone chips out of the car it is a £12k car any day of the week.
Amy test drive shows how tight this vehicleis. Even vospers have offered me £4800 as a trade in and it is them that has advised me to sell privately as it is not the sort of car they usually take--hence the sale.
hope this helps and I guarantee there is nothing you can fault with this car regards performance, mechanics or interior.
Also all works carried out by TVr and full TVR service history to 75K means this vehicle is totally original and a pleasure to drive--although very fast so you do need to know how to drive it
Happy bidding
Simon
Not sure, but advertised as 45k, admits to 80k mileage...
Not sure where this would sit with advertising standards - when you replace a speedo you're supposed to reset it to the outgoing speedo mileage, aren't you? The mileage is that of the car, not that of the speedo.
Otherwise I'm off to my nearest car breakers to try and cut my mileage down a bit!
Should this be reported to eBay?
