I've been surfing a bit today and having found an article and used this new type of search engine http://vivisimo.com I think I like it, not sure it will replace google quite yet though.

So what do you think will it take off?

If I had to criticise the name could be better, far too hard to spell and type.

So is this like Copernic (which I believe has been around for some time)?

I think Microsoft SharePoint Services provides a similar function with intranet portal sites.

But running the demo, the explorer type view looks very good (and not like SPS)!!

I don't think so, I did have Copernic and did find it useful for going back to previous searches.

The clustering on the left hand side seems to split topics up into more manageable chunks, rather than having to trawl through loads of pages.

Just tried something. it seems to work far better than Google.

I searched for ruf R turbo. and the first hit is the official Ruf site.

on google the first hit is PH can you tell how I found teh site?

The official Ruf link isnt a hit on googles first page.

That is damn nice idea!

I use google one hell of a lot - I'm gonna give this a try for a while and see how I get on.
