Bugger dropped my lens, repair?

While on holiday I dropped my camera (Nikon D70) and the lens, a AFS Nikkor 70-300, stopped focusing (auto and manual) and developed a rattle! Any advice on whether this is something that could be repaired?

Quite possibly, try Lehmanns of Stoke, they are pretty good. However, the cost of repair might be close to the purchase price of a new one.

Sorry for the minor thread hijack but is there anywhere you can sell damaged lens's direct? Like an envirophone for camera lens's? I've got a few broken ones now that'd be good to get a couple of quid for.
