Just fitted Michelin PS2 set after using P-Zeros previously.

Now I have inner headlight covers rubbing on edge of tyre on near full lock and upward travel movement and nothing else has changed.

Anyone else seen this issue?

Think this has always been a problem..

The Factory tried to make a different mold for the cover to overcome this, and it helped, but did not eliminate it altogether... well for me it didn't... still have rubbing problems on extreme lock each side on my standard eagles!

I modified my covers to clear the P Zeros, I just need another mod to clear the PS 2s.

can you not just restrict the lock slightly with the jublee clip method?

Thanks, I have not seen this suggestion before, but uneasy about restricting the lock for a problem that could/should be resolvable another way.

I was under the impression restricting the lock by 1 cm or so was a common practise and seen on some of the build diarys.

its only on full lock it touches and the turning circle on the car is fantastic compared to most already..

I havn't studied build diaries since my build in 2004. I will have a look through some.

Can somebody explain how to restrict the lock please?
I don't have a build diary, and i am not an expert by any means.

grab some plastic poly pipe that you use for the garden, cut to length for the amount of lock that you wish to restrict, cut slit and slide over steering rack end between inner tie rod ball joint and steering rack body, secure under steering rack gators with cable ties. re-secure gators with more cable ties.

Or alternatively just put some Jubilee clips on the rack at the appropriate points under the gaitors - far easier
