Correct. But If I fitted in my car wearing a helmet I would do.

Did someone lose a syrup via the sunroof or something?

You'd spend the rest of the day avoiding it thinking that it was a hedgehog....

Ben,

I wouldn't worry about helmets. I've been along to two events and never wore a helmet.

I'll probably take mine along anyway though, but its hassle to wear it... and mucks up my hair

nope. If you want to wear one - bring yer own. Otherwise it's silly speeds, no lid and a few prayers to the gods.

Having said that, whilst I would encourage all responsible VMAXers to take all sensible safety precautions, you can't help thinking that if it should all go pear shaped at 180+mph then is a helmet really going to save you?

IMHO the best safety device is a damn good check round the car before you do a run, (pay particular attention to brakes / tyres) and the knowledge that you car is fully up to scratch.

After that don't try and be too clever and all will be fine...

Ah, I see what you mean. So opened window at speed and rear screen said goodbye? Must have made for a hell of a suckjob!
