Has anyone passed their RHCSA and if so, was it beneficial career-wise?

I do a certain amount of UNIX/Linux admin and want to add to my skillset. This looked quite interesting and transferable.

Thanks

I have it. Its a difficult test to pass. It has, so far, been of no benefit but I am not looking for a contract at the moment.

Thanks for the reply.

Did you do the exam off your own back and what training, if any, did you require?

My company won't pay so I'll be studying in my own time (and at work when it's quiet) and I'll probably buy the book by Michael Jang: e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/RHCSA-Linux-Certification-...

Been working in UNIX/LINUX for many years so I just booked the exam, pretty much the same as I did for my RHCE. Its worth doing though just as a way to improve yourself.

If your looking for something a little different, challenging and will consume your every waking minute look at the OSCP course. 24hr exam! Not much in the way of help given but its the only cert I have that I felt I really had to push myself for. I loved every single part of it, even when I failed the first exam.

Get this and your looking at around 600+ per day.
