Hi

I was wondering if anyone in our area was going along to the big meet at Virginia Waters this coming Sunday 24th.

If so, how about a bit of a convoy / group drive/ run to the event?

Thought we might meet up at "THE POINT" in Bracknell.
It's a Bowling Alley and Cinema complex with some superstores. Big free carpark and easy to find.

We'll be on the right hand side as you drive into the entrance. speed humps are there, but they're low ones.
Please register your interest here so we have an idea of numbers. 11:00am meet at 'The Point' leaving at 11:15 sharp for V.W.

Map of "The Point" Location:

Here's the main thread for the V.W. event and it's in the Calendar on PH!

Hope to see you Sunday.

I could be up for that... Why not meet up a little earlier and go for a blast before hand ?

I agree.

Darty, which direction are you coming from? I think we may get a small convoy from the Epsom/Kingston/Sutton area. Anybody?

My car lives in my Fathers garage in Bracknell... The engine won't even be warm by the time I get to the Peel Centre!
Unfortunately, Kingston is a little out the way.
Cheers,

I live in Bracknell WITH my car and Mrs too and don't mind going on a run before hand. However, i've mailed a whole bunch of people that regularly meet up in the Thames Valley/Surrey area at the Guildford, Liphook and Eversley meets with the details above in the first part of the Thread.

So i'll be meeting them at "The Point" (Peale Centre) at 11:00am anyway. If you want to go for a warmup run first, that's cool, i'm up for that. Hope you can keep up on the twisties....

D4V KC,
We could meet at say 10:30am somewhere around Brackers... Go for a little warmup, then head down to the peel centre? Might have my Father in toe, so may be taking it easy on the twisties...
Maybe best to e-mail me through my profile to arrange a venue if you are free?

May also be up to meet at the Point as only down the road from me. Just depends on if I'm allowed out and the weather - top up or down Unless snowing then maybe the MV6 with heated seats !

Was planning to take a long route up to Bracknell anyway to get some fresh air first, so might as well come and join you guys - a lot more fun than going for a spin on my own! Let me know when and where you are meeting and will see you there....

Hi Debs, we're gonna meet at The Sainsbury's Superstore Carpark, here's a map link:

www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=487738&y=166714&z=0&sv=RG12+7SS&st=2&pc=RG12+7SS&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

10:15-10:30 was the time mentioned. I fully intend to make the warmup run unless it's chucking it down!

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the link - will see you at Sainsbury's carpark between 10.15 and 10.30am. Weather forcast for Sunday seems good - sunny but a bit windy, but I think I might keep the roof on anyway!

Debbie, this sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

But she is a Giiiiirl, a girl with a sports car though lets not forget!
And judgeing by her performance on the POTB 2004 she's not afraid to use it.

I know - I am wimp, I confess!!! But I went out one day last week with the roof off and arrived at my meeting looking like some sort of ice mummy! I am finding out the hard way that the heaters in an Elise aren't terribly effective..
