The time has come for some new tyres as when I had the rear wheels off last night found a rather large bit of metal embedded into one of them (oh, and the date code shows its 12 years old too)
Not finding much of a choice in the size 205/60R14, so wondering what others with a 280 have fitted. The choices I seem to be getting are:
Nexen CP641
Nankang XR611
Falken ZE912
3 that I currently have fitted are Nankang's and the one with the bit of metal in it is a Cooper.

I've not used them on my Tasmin but Maxxis do tyres in that size. I had Maxxis MA Z1's on my daily and was very impressed with the grip, wet or dry.

IMHO - No Falkens for me ever again I was very happy with mine (16" 245s w/ great reviews) at first. But now they are about 5-6 years old and the sidewalls are completely cracked out. Grant you they have to live with the Texas sun and UV but they have few miles on them (5K???) and need to be replaced.
No experience with the others, but for now on I'll stick to the major brands (Yokohama, Michelin, etc.). Grady
