I've just thrown one of my old pair of gloves away as they were ripped through in several places, only leaving me with one set which are developing a life of their own, and in the current inclement weather are still soaking when i put them on in the morning from the previous nights commute. They also don't seem to take too well to attempts at washing them. My questions are:

How long have you been using the same gloves & can you wash them/do they dry fast?

thanks

Have more than one pair, spreads the wear and allows them to dry whilst you use the others.

Yes most can be washed, had no problem with castelli, specialized or endura.

Agreed. No trouble here washing Aldi, Lidl, and Tesco (and 661 full finger). I've even laundered my Altura Night Vision winter gloves without a problem. Even the reflectives survived. I wash mine with a milder detergent and no softener, according to the instructions.

(lots of people cut the washing instructions off the moment they get them home. They're usually on an annoying little tag sewn into the cuff area)

You can even wash leather gloves, if you dry them right. Army issue combat gloves come with washing instructions on a piece of card, but no one ever bothered to wash them when I was in - easier to exchange for a new pair from the clothing store.
