I could well be wrong. But it does look familiar and if its the one I think it is, it's been for sale for a long time.

Car looks nice (for a recreation, which I think will hold its value below market for an unmolested car) but I find it very difficult to place any trust in an ad that has such spectacularly poor spelling. Call me old-fashioned…

Not that I know of, most folk probably just looked at the pics in all seriousness if you look at the close up of the front wheel you can see the shut line below the IB front wing & the fibreglass fillet that fits below to hold the long nose lights.

As I said, ok if you're into that sort of thing & don't want to stump up for proper front wings.

PS used to do a cheaper version of their autoart thing that I'm sure was called PS Teknic or something-they used this sort of front wing as I remember-might be worth asking them if you're interested but I'd get the impression with those sort of corners cut it won't be the most exacting replica.

An 86 will be a 3.2.

Don't know about anyone else but I'd like the look of it from about 30 ft away but would be quite disappointed when I got inside and found that it's not very '2.7RS like' when it comes to the interior. Surely a recreation should be a look a like inside and out and to certain extent drive like the original?

For me a RS rep has to have MFI and ideally 2.7 MFI. So the E spec is good and possibly not a bad place to start, but it'd have to at least get to 2.4S spec, ideally 2.7RS spec. So that'd be a top-end rebuild with changed B&P, machined heads, S cams, throttle bodies (could be bored) and MFI pump work. And you might as well go to 10.5: compression and twin spark. 230bhp

Do a deal and buy it for 23k and spend 7k on the engine build (well a bit more to get to high compression and twin spark). Yummy

it looks ok, though the rears don't look quite right in the arches, so I assume its an issue with the offsets and ride height on that car, i know some think that 3.2 arches always look wrong on a backdate, not sure thats the issue here.

clearly it has ib wings and fillets. an equivalent 86 unmolested 3.2 ain't worth 25k, whether this is worth that is debateable, but cars with this many backdate mods do seem to be worth more than unmolested cars.

i personnally don't get the bad feeling towards these cars, to be honest - offsets aside - it looks nice enough, so if you like it, then why not.
