driving along listening to a CD in my 2005 db9 volante- 260w linn premium audio; it all works (CD plays- ie time elapses on display) and no sound comes out (on radio either).

Phone prep; no bluetooth (i.e. has SIM slot). Not on mute.

display and buttons work

just no sound, regardless of source.

(has the sat nav, it works, but no sound).

Also had an odd error message- remote battery low voltage. Is this related?

Check Fuse F65 (5A) in the main Fusebox (passenger footwell).
This is listed as...

"Media player / Multi media module and
display / Antenna amplifiers / Audio
amplifier"

If OK, you could try a full re-boot (i.e. isolate power/remove battery lead).

I have the same problem with my 2018 Vanquish S. I get sound from my radio but not from the cd player, any ideas?

I think this is a tracker issue.

When the tracker starts to fail it corrupts the CANBUS system with incorrect signals.

You need to have the tracker disconnected, call Bamford Rose, he disconnected mine.

Been doing some digging.

Seems it's if the amp fails to start correctly. I left it an hour and worked again.

It's a known fault
