My roadster has the later seats:

But this earlier armrest:

Wouldn't mind the newer one in the first picture. Can it be changed, and if so, where do I start? AM dealer?

Yes, it can be switched out. AstonMartinbits.com sells a replacement part but it is very expensive. Also, many owners of the newer style complain that it gets in the way of the elbow while shifting.

I've got paddles, but if it's silly money I'll just make do. Ta!

Karl wasn't kidding. Astonmartinbits will charge you £980 for the new armrest. So add VAT (£196) and delivery (£50?) to that for starters. And then the labour (or the hassle if you do it yourself). So, all told, over £1200 for something that can store next to nothing. eek

(Oh, and you probably also have to buy the little elbow cushion thing. That's another £140ish). eekeek

I may be wrong, but that armrest is post 2008 MY ? My 2007 MY has the same seat / armrest combo.

Love the leather colour smile

I bought one from aston bits just for a bit more storage space, it does get in the way a bit but it does not bother me.
I did winge about the price and got it for a grand plus p+p.
Mine had the ipod socket in it to.

I was just looking at these yesterday!
AMB state that AM dealers charge £1100? Well by the time you add the VAT and carriage you're pretty much paying that from them too!

I'd like it too (storage and and iPod docking) but bit pricey for what it is. (Coming from the man who has paid a total of £500 for external antenna to removed, fitted inside, and roof resprayed! ...and front grill resprayed...)

Sorry about the slow reply, the ipod socket does not connect to the stereo because I have a dension unit, but I am going to sort this out by cutting the dension lead and soldering it in to the back of the socket.
Photos and details to follow but don't hold your breath I work at glacial speed.
