950 miles without a glitch
Discussion
Well apart from a stuck caliper resulting in 1 front pad down to the bare metal and a scored disc.
Oh and the new starter motor that i fitted last week sticks 9 times out of 10 and i have to rock the car in gear before it will play.
Oh and finally the roof coming off on the M6. Landed in the fast lane. I got to the hard shoulder fast to witness about 50 cars and trucks reduce it to mince meat in 10 minutes.
But apart from that i had a good week away.
Big thanks to Neal... i will get your roof back to you asap.
I think my run of bad luck was over by the time i arrived at Barries. Hope the new clutch is working well buddy, see you again soon.

Why did the roof come off ???
Stays not locked properly?
Yup, that would be my guess. Stays not locked properly?
He may be reluctant to admit it, but it is very easy to ignore locking the nearside aluminium strut after replacing the targa panel as most reposition it from the off side. Forget this and it can fly off at speed.
It's happened to others on here (try using the search). To avoid this, after driving topless (as such) I either hand the keys to my passenger or place them onto the passenger seat after popping the boot button.
This serves two purposes. There's no way I can lock the keys in the boot and, to retrieve the keys, I have to open the passenger door- which reminds me to lock the n/s strut

I must have done that last time, as yesterday I went to take the roof down and found the nearside strut not locked...He may be reluctant to admit it, but it is very easy to ignore locking the nearside aluminium strut after replacing the targa panel as most reposition it from the off side. Good job I didn't do any motorway miles!
