Anybody heading to Prescott this weekend?

We'll be there, camping, watching, listening, enjoying.

Planning to be there both days, might even take my Austin 7 special along if it stays dry... just to watch!

I'm leaving work in 25 minutes to load up the trailer and head down there. My favourite weekend of the year.

In the Alvis or the Chummy?

Will keep an eye out for you. We're not likely to get in the Orchard with our modern - 1977 TVR 3000M.

The Chummy should be hiding behind Dad's Sunbeam Sandwich Wagon.

Another excellent Vintage Prescott, despite the weather.

Video from Sunday (1 of 4 - more to follow).

Was it you who failed to get out of Ettore's car park, just below the Vox Villa? As there was a break in the action, even the commentary team were offering advice. Strangely for the VSCC, not bouncebounce perhaps that's for the Cotswold.

It was great to see so many people there, having a good time despite the typically English weather.

A grand day out - nice to see the videos.

Afraid so and not for the first time either. rolleyes

I should have stayed up near the gravel track, but the lower slopes looked so tempting.

I could have done with a bounce, but at least I provided some amusement for the spectators. biggrin

This was my first time at Prescott, though I've been very fortunate to have attended many hillclimbs and other VSCC race meetings for many years.

Sadly the nearest thing I have to a classic is a broken (aren't they all?) Lotus Exige so I was there in my company car, but my old man took his Aston along. The last keeper of the Exige was VSCC Secretary Mike Stripe so it has some form at these events. I did feel something of an imposter though, watching all the members turning up in their open-topped jalopies.

We went en masse with my GF and my parents all in attendance on Sunday. In spite of the sometimes challenging weather conditions we had a fine old time. What a wonderful venue and event in general - fabulous!

I have written a short report and shared a few photos here: http://www.motorcardiaries.co.uk/2013/vscc-prescot...

Couple of previews:

Great report and the top two pics were two of my favourites of the day too.

Loved the little Monoposto - although the nearside rear wheel looked a little buckled.

Oddly I also had an infield/outfield discussion when arranging meeting friends - it made sense to me and them.
