Morning,

We currently have a Dad band this consists of 3 playing guitars and one playing melodeon/mandolin/violin. 3 of us sing.

The guitars are acoustic with pickups, I also plug an electric in sometimes via a small valve amp.

We generally borrow a small PA which is handy but hassle as I have to spend half a day collecting it then another taking it back. So we thought we'd have a look about and maybe buy something.

We have been given a set of apparently decent carlsbro pa speakers and so the next bit is a small desk/amp. I was thinking that 8 channels is probably not quite enough and won't give us any room for expansion so, 12 channels, a little reverb...

Any recommendations?

We have a Behringer mixer for rehearsals and small venues that don't have their own PA.

They don't get good reviews possibly due to being a bit flimsy but it does everything we need and more.

We treat our gear with care anyway so for the price I would recomend them.
