Our new to us Aygo diesel has developed a very clattery 5th gear all of a sudden.

Trying to find out any information on the Internet is proving fruitless. So, as there's no Aygo/C1/107 diesel boxes for sale that I can find, what else uses the same box?

Ideally it would be the petrol version as there's plenty of those for sale. Engine is shared with the likes of the C2/C3 hdi and the fiesta 1.4 tdci. Or maybe it shares a box with something else in the Toyota range.

I've read it uses a toyota C550 box and also seen the code 20 TT but I question the sources.

Over to you and thanks for any help.

I think that diesel is a Peugeot unit, so the gearbox might also come from them.

Possibly, although it is actually built in Dagengam by Ford so by reckoning it could be a Toyota, Peugeot or Ford gearbox.

Gearbox is a Toyota BVM C550/C553 according to Peugeot/Citroen's online schematics. Quite a simple box, I'd get it repaired rather than replaced as you will then know that it's not going to happen to the next one.
