Sorry, a fairly boring one this, but I've just been to look at a new shape M6 and the combo I really fancy is Black with Silverstone leather

I've always had black or other dark leather in my cars and fear it might be a pain to live with in terms of getting dirty quickly. I dont have kids or a dog or anything like that and I'm careful with my cars, but do they mark easily with jeans and other dirt? I dont really want to have to put leather cleaner on the seats every 5 minutes

I'm sure there are a few people out there who have opted for cars with silverstone who can hopefully give me some insight. If they are generally robust but need a leather clean every 6 months or something, that is fine. If anyone has found a great product in that respect, please shout out with that too

Cheers

Silverstone leather is pretty robust despite its appearance. I also have an M6 with this interior and the wear isn't bad at all. The seat bolsters may wear a little quicker thatn darker leathers, but in terms of denim marks etc, I have virtually none. Best colour leather in my opinion and is also M specific!

See the work done here, all for £45 and I still have half of the stuff left.

Have to disagree with the above, I found it quite high maintenance to keep looking good and although it may be a function of my cheap suites I did get a discolouration appear where my arm rested on the centre console as shown below.

Also after 14 months and 30000 miles the leather on the drivers seat in places was starting to show some wear and micro cracks appearing when looked at up close, despite regular treatment with BMWs own leather care kit. I think these looked more noticeable than if the leather was a dark cover.

I suppose its dependent on use, as a daily drive car getting in and out frequently and with young kids it may not be best choice, as a weekend car without such issues I'm sure it will be no problems as the other posts have said.
