Chevy small block engine info/help please....

can I ask a favour of some of you Chevy experts here? My query is not directly Ultima related - but I can come up with an Ultima link if you want

When the engine I'm asking about went pop, Dave Fiddes was there with his Ultima. Maybe it was the vibes from his Ultima that made my engine have a coronary.

I know I could post this in the 'engines' forum, but I'm guessing lots of the small-block knowledge is actually in here.

Basically, I'm looking to sell my small block Chevy, except it needs a rebuild Alternatively, it could be split for parts. This is where you folks could help out. Does anyone have any suggestions of what the engine/parts are worth? Mail me offline if you want. Also, for all those that didn't buy from Americal Speed, is there a place to best advertise Chevy stuff? This is all in the UK, so I'm interested in UK values. And of course, maybe some of this stuff might be of intesest to an Ultima builder?

So, any clues what this lot is worth - mail me on [e-mail] if you've got some suggestions. I'm not looking for offers at this point, just an estimate of worth so I know where to pitch it....but if anyone does want to make an offer

Haven't a clue how much you should be looking for, but e-bay is place to advertise I would say. I have sold a couple of excess Chevy bits on e-bay (to UK and Sweden). If you have a reserve price, will at least gauge interest and you don't have to sell if it doesn't make reserve.
If selling as parts, I hope to be at KH on Saturday afternoon with SIDC and these roller rockers look nice!

That was a sad finish to the day when your engine died... Hope it wasn't bad vibes from my beast.

Good to see that there's still some of it salvegable. Think that George is right and that Ebay is the place to go. Selling as individual parts would probably yield you more $$$ but would take a bit more work than selling as one lot.

Glad to hear that your legal problems are a bit more sorted at long last...

Sad to say but I don't think there is much of value there for anyone thinking of building the sort of performance that is becoming the norm for an Ultima.
If the block was undamaged then it may have been worth a few hundred but I think you mentioned it was both damaged and sleeved which would not make it very suitable.
