I'd heard the deck of an aircraft carrier is the most dangerous workplace in the world. Why does Navy sailor not make the list? Entirely apochyrphal perhaps...?

I hope no. 5 means a military pilot, otherwise it doesn't sound good for civilian air travel...

I meant chemists (ie chemists who do chemistry) rather than pharmascists. I suppose if you do your job properly as a chemist it is totally safe, wheres this is not the case with some of the other professions.

OOPS, just noticed, it will be disqualified

Post was headed "Britain's ten most dangerous professions"

So I retract Kamikaze pilot, in favour of inner city teacher - that must be high on the list

Biochemists..... Liebchen...researching ways of dealing with lurgies and stuff .... but there are less of us than window cleaners, soldiers, ... etc. As for the trawlermen and factory ship workers .... not many of those - surprised that off shore oil riggers are not mentioned here either.... but then about as many of those as toppest biochemists ....

My lab is a very dangerous place to be ...... especially when things spontaneously combust ......

Und if you are anywhere near a baby delivery room when I am there - I would say that being an obstetrician and a Papa-to-be are not at all good for their health

Interchangeable? I thought it was the same job

How is dangerous defined? I thought doctors have the highest rate of suicide for any profession, I thought this would make that a dangerous job

Poofs job

I used to come and change your stub cables and all you buggers did was sling a rope under the hull if the reactor was still flashed to stop us swimming under it and breeding mutant children

Tell me about it.
When a junior matelot, being a diver I was doing a routine job (well attempting to) on the casing.

Just after jumping some smartarse shouted the reactor was still flashed up and what was I doing.
If I could have walked on water I would have. Saying that I was out so quick I didnt have time to get wet.

Bastards.
