I have a Panasonic TV and basically use iPlayer and the Skype feature to chat with our son and his wife who live in New Zealand. Panasonic camera attached to TV via usb which works quite well.

All the other smart features seem to be too klunky to use with a standard remote control.

So if you have a smart TV what features do you use? Are they features for solitary viewing?

Streaming films and box sets from Lovefilm and other online services.

Just watched series 1 of Breaking Bad and The Sheild and hope to watch Sopranos and a few others over the coming months.

So far impressed with the services and what is available to watch. TV is an LG.

Absolutely nothing.

I have a Media Centre PC attached that does everything, and does so easier, quicker and with better quality. Smart TV?

Stoopid Divvy TV. Wish I could've bought a good quality panel without all the crap.

Nothing until recently. Have Virgin for i-player, catch-up TV, Youtube etc. My PC is connected to my AVR so all music and d/l content is handled directly.

I have just bought another smart TV for the bedroom, although we have Virgin their too. I had a play about yesterday and found it quite easy to connect to my laptop and stream music and videos. Will try again with the main server although I expect there will be some usual format/codec issues.

Never bothered with any of the other apps/services. A laptop/PC always works so much better.

I'm the same, between my DVR, Sony AV Receiver and Sky I havn't touched any of the 'smart' features on my TV. Nor the 3D. One day I'll learn....

Youtube occasionally. Irritatingly it always picks 1080p streams if they're available but I don't have the bandwidth so they keep freezing :/
