Does anyone have a picture of one, or better still know where I can get one, presumably its a Triumph part?

Also a set of Silicon hoses?

Does it look a bit like this (some have a round end)?

This one can be found at http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-BHM7285 ?

However, just because it looks the same it could well be set to cut in at a different temperature. I would suggest you talk to one of the marque experts who supply parts specifically for your car (some of them occasionally post on here!)

They would also be able to supply you with the correct hoses that you're after.

Don't forget it may have been changed/modified.

I recently had a leaky rad - I thought it was from the push in otter switch - when I stripped it it was from the cracked solder where a fitting for a screw in otter switch had been fitted.

I've PM'ed you about hoses.

IMHO, get rid of the press in version (as it is almost obsolete, there is almost no range values available AND can pop out under pressure) IF the radiator is being rebuilt, ask to have a threaded boss silver soldered in it's place OR if not, then ask that a threaded boss be silver soldered to a brass plate and that soft soldered onto the end tank.
The reason for the silver solder is that the standard 22mm screw in sender, can and will be spun off while you are tightening it up IF you use soft solder.

David Gerald stock "purpose made" silicone hoses for the V6 M's and Taimars (and quite possibly various other early TVRs).

Upright rad top hose 15285S
Bottom hose 10138S

Not cheap but they are "right",better than the made up from 3 sections blue silicone bottom hose that was on the car when I bought it !

(one of my "pet hates" is blue silicone hoses wink )

Sightly mislead you all there, not Otter switches, there are electrical sockets fitted in my low-line radiator, see below, think I just need to know where I can get the plug that fits them?

Mine has a similar switch. Doesn't have a proper plug just the two wires with small spade connectors on them.

A proper plug would be much nicer if anyone knows what it is!

Ah I see, make sense,It was the slots in the plastic surround that looked like they were engagement for a slot in plug.

Looking at your pics of the plug I'm sure it's designed to have a proper male plug. It has a lug at the bottom to retain it.

But mine works fine with spade terminals!
