I understand the need for these cookies announcements, but is this the tidiest way to do it?

Same on Chrome and IE8.

I use Chrome and it absolutely doesn't look like that.

We'll have a look.

For most people it should just appear at the top and then disappear when you click the button, at least until you delete cookies.

Hateful I know, and we've resisted for as long as we can, but a necessary evil if we want to avoid nasty sounding threats form European bureaucrats...

It does go if you click on it, and it doesn't matter.

But my Brian Sewell-esque aesthetic soul was wounded by how it looked.

I thought this law wasn't carried through in the end?
