Whats the Difference

[Ballistic Banana]

Between a Griffith/Chimp Chassis and the Tamora Chassis. Must be very Similiar except for the Roll bar over the Screen. Is It longer?
Would be interested to Know what other things with the Chassis(any PPics Anyone)/suspension That are different as the Tamora from what I have heard is pretty planted to the Road.

IIRC the Tamora, T350 and Tuscan all share the same chassis now. (Cerbera is a bit longer.)

This is from a factory tour - so I may not have been paying attention at the back.......

Its true, Tamora, Tuscan and T350 are the same chassis.

The later chassis are much more advanced, as are the wishbone/upright setup.

Yes, the Wedge had a nice chassis but no way can you compare it to a Segaris.

Only obvious difference looking at the pic is the front shock mounts look beefier, and maybe there's more triangulation tubes here and there - the whole chassis must be far stiffer than the Griff one for the T350 to get such rave reviews in the handling dept. There's the roll bar added to stiffen it as well - something half-decent to attach the seatbelts to. It's probably a completely different shape if you measure it - for a straight-six could be narrower and longer maybe?
Would be interesting to know if the front and rear ends could be grafted onto a Griff chassis so the presumably more advanced geometry of the newer design could be used.
.....or maybe ..... you don't want one of 'those' engines in the Griff do you?

Isn't the Cerbera 8 ins longer than a Griff/Chimaera and a Tuscan 5 ins shorter than a Cerbera. All wheelbase measurements, so from that a Tuscan is 3 ins longer than a Griff. Now its something like that, my 'measurements' may not be quite right, but I think thats the general plan.

The Griff and Chim are more or less the same, although I think there were some small differences early on.

Then came the mighty Cerbera..

The Tuscan is a Cerbera Chassis with a bit chopped out of the middle to make it shorter.

The Tamora is, from what I can gather new and the T350 etc use the same chassis.

However then I read that the Tuscan was now using suspension settings from the tamora so maybe it is a tuscan chassis after all...

Who knows.

Anyway love your Griff, shove some nitrons on it.
