V8V 6th year service cost?
Discussion
Works service are doing a 'competitive pricing plan' for cars 6 years and older, they will collect it if required. Mine is just having its 7 year service which is a bit more expensive and come in at around £870. Just call a few dealers and get them to quote you, there will be some wiggle room I suspect. If you wanted someone local specifically then maybe try Trinity in Surrey for an Indy price.
Appleby's at Generation AMR will give you a good price and service for your vantage.

I used the figures from this website http://www.servicethecar.com/Get-A-Quote.aspxhttp:... as part of my bargaining tool and the service cost dropped from £1201 to £800
But... they then found a few issues and the final bill was £1600

The even number Services are expensive on the Vantage, the 6th year one more so as it involves the wipers, air filter and pollen filter.
I would not be expecting much change from £1k.
It doesn't have to include those three items. All 3 are either mileage or 'on condition' items so can be excluded, if you want. I was initially quoted over £1k by an AM approved workshop but after discussion, and 'negotiation' on those three items, the price came down to £6-700. (I can't recall exactly how much at the moment, I'm afraid). I also provided my own Castrol oil, so that saved a bit more.I would not be expecting much change from £1k.

Well if James is recommending his Dad's garage (again) I'll predictably say 'take it Bamford Rose' as usual. I had avoided it as it's not what the OP asked
An hour from Heathrow? In normal traffic? Err... OK, sure.
Steve, when we meet, I'll demonstrate how my tiny hands could never get to grip with that mighty knob
The Sarah maynard one is much better for me
