Hi All

Does this warning message on the dash specifically mean that the tyre pressure monitoring isn't working? Or is this what it displays if it detects that one of the tyres is low?

Don't have access to the manual unfortunately to check for myself.

Pretty sure if it's the yellow one, it's tyre pressures, it is super sensitive! You can find the correct pressures in the "door shut" of the drivers door I think! You don't need to do anything to reset - just check pressures and drive off, it will reset after a couple of miles.

Thanks very much. I'll go and check whether any are low.

This is not saying a tyre is soft - it's saying the system itself isn't working. There's a conveniently (not) mounted box under the glove box in the passenger footwell with 4 coloured leds - any of those lit up means the corresponding tyre is soft. This main dash light says the system isn't talking to all the wheels.

Mine did it now and then - I applied the "ignore it & it will go away" approach, which it invariably did.

The system is a waste of time & resource most of the time smile

Thanks very much. I've confirmed that there is no tyre with low pressure, so I'm sure you're right.

I'm not sure if you already know, sitting still with the ignition on for 20mins or so will cause that error.

Yep you have to give it a drive for 5 minutes or so and the sensors will then correct themselves and the fault stops. Sometimes this happens when you are actually driving the car. It will mysteriously show up and then 5 minutes later clear itself. It happened to me twice on a motorway. I stopped the first time and checked the system, and there was no problems. The system has funny 5 minutes occasionally.

TPMS sensor batteries have a finite life. 5 or so years if I remember correctly.

That is what is often said here, apart from one of mine which was sourced from the Poundstretcher supply chain and it lasted three years and one month. whistle

It maybe those that are getting the warning randomly and frequently is an early sign of the batteries failing? If so start saving!
