Just arrived here at 2 and the sun is out, excellent day and lots of cracking cars here for the races, lots of TVR's but sadly I'm the only Noble, shame more dont get raced!

First practice session went well, 5 or so laps to find my way around then went to see how the car handles at speed, it's quite a tight circuit and I could really do with a bit more camber through the medium speed corners but overall it's all good, little bit too much under steer so will try a bit less air up front.

Pumped in a few 1.13/14 laps then once things cooled off hit high boost down the back straight and done a couple of 1.11's the best was 1.11.1

Time for second practice.

On the coastal circuit,

it is really windy but don't think it affected the car too much on track.

Big respect!! I was there on a trackday earlier this year and did 1.28 in the damp and 1.38 in the pouring rain (two up). Thanks for being a worthy defender of the honour of the clan Noble.

Woohoo

Qualified 3rd with a time of 1:10.8

1st pole is Danny Winstanley in the LS Sag with 1:09.0
2nd Paul Rose in a Saker sportscar with 1:09.6

It's going to be a challenge to go flat out for 20 minutes!

Race at 3, camera in the car for this one so should get some excellent footage.

Finished 3rd, as we qualified, what a race! 20 minutes of mega concentration!

Car was great but suffered fuel starvation a few laps from the end, need a pro alloy tank!

qualifying only 1.8sec behind Danny is a great result as he is very fast. Are you coming to oulton park or donington anytime soon?

I went 1:10.6 in the race which was great but im still on standard road geo which was a nightmare, more camber needed!

Today I took the lead from Danny and Paul in the wet, all us on slicks, was out front from lap 1 till 15 then last lap Danny came up the inside on the back straight and pushed me off the dry line, my rear end came round on me at 120mph and bounced across the wet grass,I hit the tyre wall at about 60mph. Ouch!!!

Great race though, loved it! Might be doing brands/cadwell and prob donny too

Great effort HP, I've been on track when Paul has been out in his Saker and if you have his pace, fair-play to you. What is the track like, guessing its quite tight??
Sorry to see your front clam, we break something off our fun cup car every outing so it was inevitable, is it repairable??

As mentioned by text I'm gutted to see the damage. However, as mentioned above it appears inevitable in racing that something will happen at some time, you just got yours in early. Lets look forward to many happy years of uneventful racing! How's the neck this morning? You don't wear any neck protection do you?

Need my dremel again for fitting the carbon front undertray/splitter? haha biggrin

Interesting note regarding carbon bits when racing, a lot of competitors use wood or aluminum sheet for bits that are likely to be broken, splitters etc, it's a lot cheaper and once painted black you can't tell what it is.
