Hi all

Ignore my profile. I'm now the proud owner of a 1995 Chimaera 400HC. I checked as much as
I could before parting with the cash, but you still get that nervy drive home when you're
expecting something to go wrong!

All is as it should be though so I'm well pleased. I've just replaced the old cracked
veneer with a carbon fibre dash but after wiring all the gauges back into the loom
I'm having problems getting the fuel gauge to work.

I've checked the sender. I'm getting 12v at some of the gauge terminals, I've done a continuity
test of each wire back to the sender so I'm running out of options. Could some kind person have
a look at their fuel gauge connections to make sure I've connected it back to the loom correctly?

Looking from the back of the gauge:
top left: Blue top right: Red/black
bot left: Green/black bottom right: Green

The car is going on a little adventure next week so if the gauge could start behaving itself
it would be really helpful!

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave
If you have Caerbont gauges,I have a photo of the back of the on my 1999 4.5 fuel gauge.but I cannot see any blue cable connection .if you have an earlier car you probaly have a different gauge
Try. Earthing the sender wire and see if that registers on the tank sender to see if that registers
I can tell you the configuration on mine if that will help
Good luck Dave

David

Wiring error!

Got the gauge going and tweaked the float arm angle to get a full reading on the gauge

Thanks anyway
