Recommended paint repairers - NE Surrey

First post for me, and not in very happy circumstances unfortunately.

My 997 Mk1 was recently "keyed" in an upmarket hotel car park (Sopwell House, St. Albans - please take care; they of course are denying any liability). The damage looks fairly light but the Porsche recommended paint shop wants just under £1,600 to fix it (ouch). It's across two panels, but really isn't that bad.

So, does anyone have any recommendations for a well respected alternative? I would obviously not get the lifetime guarantee (probably), but my guess based on previous experiences is that this would cost around £400 to fix at a reputable paint shop. I am in the Esher / Kingston area, North East Surrey.

I've not used them, but eporshe based in Bisley have a paint shop attached to them

Recommend Morden Coachworks which is tucked away round the back of a small industrial estate in Garth Road, Lower Morden. I have had a few panels sprayed by them on various cars (including wife's 2011 SLK and my previous 911 rear bumper) and the work is always top quality (and I am very fussy). In fact when someone reversed into the SLK my wife wanted them to do it rather than Merc.

Don't be put off by the "back street" appearance and Keith (the owner) is a top bloke and will not rip you off. Worth a comparison quote.

I've used eporsch. Their new site is a paint shop.

Try Ty at www.riveriaautobodyshop.co.uk, he's painted my 993 targa and other bits and bobs, great job and does loads of work for Ray Northway and Peter Tonola. He's based out in the sticks in Reading, ex Specialized painter, happy to recommend.

Or KDS Keltec - they have paint facilities now and IMHO nobody knows as much about automotive paint than Kelly.

For a real Porsche paint specialist, try Langley Autocraft in Kings Langley. Not on your doorstep, but not very far away either. They do all the paintwork for JZM and have done work on my GT3 and have done a brilliant job. Worth a drive in my opinion (I went from Portsmouth)

Looks like I'm off to the body shop as someone drove into the SLK in Waitrose car park today and drove off. Damaged the front bumper, front wing and took a huge chunk out the wheel. My wife took the 911 out for the first time yesterday so it looks like that will be the shopping wagon for a week or so. Pray for me...
