Evening all
The OCD has come out in me recently resulting in the purchase of my first DA polisher with Meguiars compounds.
I am taking my R129 SL at the MB SL national day tomorrow so i thought I would give the DA a go this afternoon. The paint is pretty good as it has been resprayed at some point in its life. However over time it has picked up lots of tiny scratches as well as one big on the bonnet when i used a broom to remove last years snow!
The results are great and the old girl has come up a treat. My 14 month old son George is getting the car bug already and was keen to get involved!
Have a good weekend all

And with the top up

George lending a hand!

Absolutely lovely cars and yours looks fantastic. The vfm is immense with these. i have wanted one since they came out, remember the article in CAR with a silver one with cloth interior. there may be plenty to go wrong but it's built so well that it has to be worth a gamble. And besides, parts availability is pretty good, right? (I mean from breakers etc not from MB).
Enjoy and keep us posted on your progress.

I remember Car's launch article, in particular the bit about how they'd had one utterly destroyed by a female journalist who jumped a humpback bridge then turned the wheel in midair ready for the fast-approaching corner. On the crumpled nose was her lipstick where she'd kissed it for saving her life with its amazing pop-up rollbar. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
