While in the boot and removing the tank for some reason i have decided to address the fuel feed idea ive been meaning to do.

I have a Bosch 044 pump that works well but is designed to have a larger feed. It currently has an adapter to suit the smaller inlet bore pipe from the tank.

So i am thinking of making a new larger bore pick up pipe into the tank to feed the pump as it should.
Maybe a bigger in tank filter? What do you think?

All looks pretty straight-forward to modify although I doubt the strainer is likely to restrict flow given the gauze size and the surface area? Does the 044 noticeably cavitate or labour on the standard arrangement then? Will the pipework and rail upstream of the pump not also need to be increased in bore size to match or is the aim to increase pressure within the system rather than outright flow?

That nipple scared me to death ,it`s just a straight pipe ready for disaster. If it was not held by the metal swan neck the pipe would fall off ..

V8Andy did something with his tank.

I currently run high pressure to feed the standard green injectors for 330 bhp.
My nitrous system is fed from the same line and needs fuel to add upto another 250 bhp.
So overall flow is a concern and pressure needs to be maintained.

Another idea is to make the tank outlet bigger and to use a 'Y' fitting. I would use the 044 just for the fuel rail and refit my old pump as a dedicated feed for the nitrous system.
