Battery trickle charging issue
Discussion
Hi all, relatively new owner of a Tamora and new member here!
Recently I didn't use the car for a little while resulting in the battery draining too much to start. The car was supplied with a new Optimate charger, the problem I'm having is as follows, could do with some ideas!
The charger supplied with the car was an optimate but the connector in the passenger footwell was a c-tek type, so I cut the wire and replaced with a "tamiya" connector that fits the optimate. I put a bit of solder in the pins to ensure a proper connection. But, when I connect the optimate, only the red power LED is lit. I've tried fiddling around with the connector to see if it's a loose connection but nothing... Am I right in saying the battery is accessed via the nearside wheel? If so, it's parked right up against a wall on that side so I can't get direct access to the battery!
Any ideas as to what to try next?
Cheers
