What's your best and worst MPG?

My daily driver is currently giving 34.8mpg which for a remapped 2001 Volvo T4 isn't too bad, although it has seen 11mpg!!

Which got me wondering, what is the best and worst (not on the same car if needs be) MPG you've witnessed?

I had an average of 0.1 mpg after resetting the fuel as i entered the queue for the newly opened KFC drive through.
I had near enough 27 mpg on a relaxed run once.

Probably ~16 mpg in my RX8, and then 75+ in the 1.0 Up!

In the Elise, about 51mpg brim to brim at best, and about 25 at worst (although that was with a broken lambda sensor).

The Caterham uses a litre of fuel every two minutes when racing, this equates to about 12mpg. Even on the road it only does 26 to the gallon thanks to those musical Webers.
I've had my 525i as low as 23 and as high as 29.

My worst in the C1 was 55MPG Don't think I could get it below that! Haven't tried an economy run, but reckon it would be pushing 70.

24.5 mpg brim to brim is the worst, with 26.9 being the best.

Mechanical fuel injection is at least consistently bad.

My old Audi S6 regularly showed 10mpg around town and the highest ever shown was 29.7mpg on a run from Koln to Plymouth

My current cars fare much better. Mk1 Octavia vRS low of 26mpg and high of 47mpg!!
UR quattro has shown 15mpg when 'having fun' but has also done a 60mile trip at 35mpg

Best car I had for economy was my 09 a6 avant tdi-e highest ever recorded was around essex (flat) where I got 62mpg regularly. Overall in the 18,000 miles I did it averaged 52.3mpg

In my current car I've had it down to 18mpg after a spirited drive.

On a long motorway run it sees about 34mpg.

General pottering to and from work, with weekend drives out with the family it gets about 26mpg.

These are average figures mind, I've seen the computer display the current mpg at 7 when on full chat

29mpg out of a 1.4TFSI A1 really annoyed was putting it mildly
compared to my old Polo GTI which managed at worst 36mpg best 45mpg

4 mpg on a tankful, embarrassing running out after 82 miles. 100+ mpg in a Corsa diesel bumbling along quiet roads at 45mpg.

Worst so far was the V8 discovery that avaraged 9mpg in town. Best is the current XC60 that returns 42mpg on the open road.

Best ever average between two fillups: 39.7mpg, Motorway run

47mpg in my Rover 216GTI on the A1.

Best and worse offenders are both in my current fleet.

63 mpg from our Nissan Note 1.5DCi
15 mpg from our T25. ( the Solex carbs are playing up at the moment which is not helping matters)

Worst is 24 mpg over 230 miles from my current EP3 civic type r, best from this car is 34 mpg on a longer but by no means economy run. Best I've had was probably 56mpg from my old saxo VTR on a run on holiday. Again not an economy run at all.

Worst: a 'spirited' drive in the Peak District saw 8mpg back when I had the Ferrari.
Best: about 47mpg on a long run in the diseasal Volvo.

1960 Land Rover (petrol)... doesn't seem to matter how you drive, it always averages 13mpg

Auris Hybrid hire car... I did 18miles in heavy traffic at 99.9mpg crawling along the M25

Best - Recently got 80.3mpg from my VW Golf 1.6 Bluemotion over a drive of 106 miles. Best I've ever had from it in 18months of ownership.

Worst - Probably around 10 - 15mpg from my SL500 R129 when pressing on or in town.

21MPG worst, 25MPG best on the 924... you may have a point there.
