Does anyone have a boot hinge Black or Chrome going spare? The main thread on one of mine has gone...just when I was getting all back together again!

Gents, any ideas where to get replacement boot hinges for a 350i?

From reading threads they seem to be from a Hillman Imp(?), but google is not helping today.

So, is there a secret website that sells them or will I end up buying a gate hinge and nailing that on...?

Cheers

ETA - I've found some in chrome, but £30 each seems a bit pricey and the chrome is a bit.... garish.

It's a matter of context, all of the other details on the car are black so chrome might look a little 'intense'. I love chrome, but only when it looks right on the car. On this particular wedge, it definitely wouldn't hehe

If you have Ziga, that would be awesome. Quite happy to sort beer tokens or donations either way.

There's no rush; they won't be replaced until after Classic anyway so it's not a job that will be done for 3/4 weeks. If you find them, drop me a PM and I'll arrange to square up with you thumbup

There's a pair listed on eBay as 3000s but look the same as mine. £42 + post.

AND ALL the studs that would allow you to fit to a TVR 3000s would need changing ....you would pay the same amount from a TVR classics trader...but then you would have to find one...
