My clutch fluid needs topping up due to a leak (need to top it up so I can get to the garage). The problem is I can't figure out how to do it... the metal cap on the cylinder isn't threaded and appears to have a small puncture hole in the metal to fix it in place. Any suggestions would be great!

Suspect you'll find a threaded plastic cap under the tin cover... does that tang on the side not release it?

The bit on the side doesn't move or rotate. If there is a plastic cap under the tin one, it's not visible and the tin lid won't budge. I don't want to break it, but think I may end up forcing it with a screwdriver.

Yeah that just looks like a tin cap that someones put ontop of the plastic one, it should unscrew.

This is what they normally look like.

Thats exactly it. They've fitted it very securely thats for sure!
I guess I'll have to eat more spinach and just prize it off with a bit of brute force!
Thanks all.

Winner!! Sort of. I got it off and guess where it went...
Straight down into the wing. Managed to retrieve it with a wire coat hanger afyer about 20 mins. It turns out it had furred up quite a bit.
And the marigolds weren't required!
