Really? Can this be increased please?

I usually email asking a few questions and along with the niceties (regards, etc) it's easy to fill up 500 characters.

Ta.

ETA: Now my message is 496 characters (including spaceS) and its still reporting its too long, even after starting a new message.

Seconded. I struggled to get my message across yesterday. I must have come across as a right idiot! biggrin

As an occasional seller, please don't lift the limit.

If anyone has questions of over 500 character they should be picking up the phone or getting a life...

The number of questions I ask will depend on the quality of the advert. A good car with a good advert should only need a couple of lines before wanting to pick up the phone. However, when responding to an advert to a dealer, which hadn't even got the mileage on it (it was listed as 'sensible miles')and wanting to query on p/x, I soon ran out of characters.

I'm also an occasional seller and I'd rather have a substantial email for me to answer than play email tennis for a couple of hours.

Sadly, people don't pick up the phone as much anymore.
