Mk 1 Rear indicator mod

Folks there was a thread a while back (Possibly years ago) where someone had modified the rear high level LED indicator clusters to incorporate the brake lights, can anyone shed any light to it or give me a pointer to the thread as its something I'd like to look into.

The one that I saw had replaced the inner ring of LEDs for red ones and connected them upto the braking circuit. The outer ring remained as the indicator, looked quite smart and saved the need for any extra lighting units.

Ye if you go Bi colour what do you do when brake and turn light is on

Could do, but that would require a fair bit of initial work to design.

Hmm, if what you describing is multi-functional LEDs with brake lights, reversing lights etc incorporated, its already been designed and installed on a few TVRs.

No, I know the ones you mean with the inner and outer rings.

What I've seen on here in the past is where someone had removed all of the inner ring of orange LEDs from the high level Mk1 indicators and replaced them with red ones these were then connected to the brake circuit. So when you indicated only the outer ring of the LEDs illuminated, you could also brake ate the same time and have both showing simultaneously.
