Have you declared the increase in engine size to the insurance company, upgraded the log book, if so what effect has it had on your insurance, or maybe your car tax.
Is the change easy to spot if you take off the bonnet?

my 5.7 doesn't increase the insurance, but most people will want to put the agreed value up, so premium goes up i would think a 4.5 would add 5k to the value of a car with an old engine

You won't see any difference looking at it in the engine bay. Not till the engine is stripped down and bore sized and stroke are measured will you know.

Was previously insured with Admiral, who would only cover the 4.5 to "market value of a standard Tuscan" but would load the premium due to the modification. Moved to Henderson Taylor, and now with Mannings (IIRC!).

Cost has gone up about 33%, but that is combined with a full respray (so rather than a knackered, scratched 4.0 I have a shiny and non-smoking 4.5) and a move to a different area so can't really offer a comparison but we are talking a couple of hundred quid difference.

DVLA took 2 weeks to change V5C
Mannings Policy actually decreased because of age and points change... It did increase by about £30 because I increased the Agreed Writeoff valuation to £54k.

Hey John!

No effect on my insurance at all or car tax.

I declared it to DVLA and insurance. No reason not to. tongue out

Oh, I'm with Mannings UK.

I did get the car re-evaluated for agreed value on the insurance, but with my car, that only makes sense.
She is rather unique now. biggrin

Mark @ Bespoke did the evaluation process for the insurance.
