V8 vantage oil capacity

Seen two or three different capacities including the service manual that states 9.5 ltrs.
What does it really need for giving to my dealer for its service?

I gave 12 litres of Castrol Edge 10-60 in three containers and got 2 litres back.

Owners Manual said:

Engine sump (incl. filter) 10.4 litres
Engine sump (excl. filter) 9.5 litres

I had 12.5 litres in my head for some reason!
