When i had my TVR, I used to know when it was 'raggable' by the oil temp gauge which (eventually) gave me a nice reading of 80'C+, however, the water temp used to get up a lot faster than then oil.

With the V12V, there is just the water temp, so do most people just go by that to gauge when it's hot?

I will always try and do about 9-10 miles before giving it the beans, water temp is up to normal within only a couple typically.

About 10mins I suppose; if you have a manual, you can feel when the gearbox oil is nice and warm too.

Just a feeling to have it ready, and I always err on the side of caution.

yes

Oil warms up slower than water
Then there's the gearbox, diff, tyres and brakes wink
