Battery light flicker
Discussion
It don't have a clear signal when to charge the battery. The mod is. The plug that goes to alternator with the three wires to it. Pull that out. Pull back all the heat wrap. Cut the black wire 4 inches from the plug and cap off the end that goes towards the car. Then the 4 inches of wire that goes to the plug. Put a connection on it and put it on the main feed bolt on the side of the alternator. It's the same mod they done on the 99 mercury. It's inline with reverse lights speed sensor fuse 9 I believe and don't give a clear ignite to the condition of the battery. Hope that helps. Worked on few of our cars doing that mod
Fords called the mercury back to do as I just said. I don't no the details but it does work. And we done on a few. By following the call back instructions. How its wired the alternator don't get a clear signal of the condition of the battery. And doing what I said apparently it does well my light used to flicker. As well as my main lights. All that has stopped now
