Please help me identify/understand these Nikon Lens'
Discussion
Evening all,
My Uncle has a Nikon which came with a number of lens attachments. He has no idea what they are and I'm struggling to get anywhere with google as it's throwing up so many results and I know little about SLR's as it is. Could you help me understand what each one does and how to use them please?
1. 52mm 2x Telephoto

2. 52mm 0.45x Wide Angle W/Macro

3. Zeikos CPL 52mm

4. Zeikos FLD 52mm (note it has a purple tint to it)

CPL is a circular polariser. FLD is a filter used to correct the greenish cast when you take pictures under fluorescent lighting, which can easily be corrected with white balance on DSLR. I guess others are used to increase the focal length by x2 or decrease (widen) by x0.45.

Yep - though I haven't seen a 2x 'teleconverter' that goes on the front before. If he fits them on he will immediately see what they do (did he not think of that?)
They are common to some P&S and a cheap but much poorer alternative to 'proper' teleconvertors as they have to match the lens thread (and are optically poorer).Overall that lot isnt of much value and only the CPL is worth using.
