S2 Clutch

Hi all.
Just bought a S2 and the clutch pedal has to be pushed right to the floor to select a gear, can it be adjusted please?

Hydraulic operation so should "self adjust"

I'd check for a leak first, most likely at slave cylinder but master cylinder possible?

Thanks for that. If thats not the problem then im thinking the lever arm may be bent which would give me the same effect. Thoughts!!

Or the puhrod has "punched" through the hole in the release arm ?

Had a similar problem recently and it turned out to be a broken return spring in the master cylinder. The push rod can also slip out of its location hole in the release arm when it gets worn. It moves to the outer hole in the arm and needs more travel to operate.
