Does anyone keep poultry or game for food?

A couple of moths ago I was given a trio of quails, we bred them and now have a constant stream of eggs and meet. They are lovely, smoked quail on the bbq is a hit amongst my friends and family.
They are very easy to dress too, they just come to pieces with scissors! On the 16th I'm going to a bird auction hoping for pheasents and maybe more quail.
My daughters are 3 and 5 and think its great to raise animals for food!
