Is it an event? Will there be photographers there? Chance of a pic in a mag? Of course he will be and quite right too. It is a fantastic piece of kit and will get huge attention, I am sure. Hope he is back in time, the car is supposed to be there on Friday!

you may find the vehicles have to be inside on the stand and setup Thurs night, as the show opens Fri am, thats what we were told and have planned for the viper area.

Stupid question, but why do they want a Z06 at a classic car show? I know the C6 has come out now, but the C5 isn't that old :-)

Hmmm... maybe I should enter a classic car race... as long as vetteheadracer isn't there I might stand a chance.

maybe they trying to merge it into a classic/sports car show or they are desperate to fill hall space up inviting all sorts of 'modern' sporty machinery, couldnt exactly call the Viper a classic either, age wise just yet.

I know from previous years if the car clubs didnt attend it would be waste of time, with not much to see.

I'm sure ZR1368 said he was back today. He needs to get back soon, piston heads is dead when he's not around

I'm going Saturday,

Not taking the vette though, will just hop on the train since I only live in Cov, the fare is about half what it costs to park!

Top tip for any of you that are driving, I think NEC parking costs £6... but if you park at Birmingham international station (attached to the NEC) it only costs £5, and you are actually closer to the halls and don't need to get one of those annoying shuttle buses

Hi guys!

Yes I am back. Joe collected me and Shoebag yesterday from Heathrow.

I am taking the Z06 up to Birmingham tomorrow night......and I agree about the "Classic" bit as this one of those age old arguements. Is an Austin Allegro a classic? or just an old car?
Is a Pagani Zonda a classic car? Is my car a classic car? I personally would say no, but they are probably more interesting to look at than an Austin Allegro....IMHO

Nige, your car is worth showing at a multitude of events. I'm just worried that you may be off the Allegro owners club christmas card list, but that's the price you pay for fame.

VHR if your stuck for something to do on Fri night a few of us are meeting up in Coleshill for a beer, about 5 mins from the NEC. I'm picking Viper Paul up from the Hilton and will have a couple of spare seats.

Thanks Neil! I will mention it to the rest of the Corvette posse and see if they fancy drinking with the enemy.....

BTW I am just uploading a load of pics that I took at Laguna Seca so I will point you to the Viper ones.....
